This was a fun read! It had a decent plot and the characters were all great. I liked Lemming's writing too! Curious about the other stories.

So in this world when they say "demon" it's any of a variety of different humanoid creatures, shifters and otherwise. The use of the word demon makes sense in the context of a world sharply defined by religion

until the "demon" love interest reveals to our leading lady that it's all a lie spun by the "goddess" who rules the area and they set out to take her out together

A hilarious subversion of the classic villain and damsel dynamic. Cinnamon is just a simple spice farmer when she happens across a demon in the woods after a heavy night of drinking, but the adventure that she embarks on isn't exactly what she's heard in the stories (or any of us, for that matter!) The book rockets through to the climactic ending, and a happily ever after of an unexpected kind. A delightful read and definitely an author to watch!

cin knows what she wants

hot demon hellbent on keeping her safe? check
hot demon turning out to be a dragon? double check
dragon mates and their mating practices? triple check

i’m sold. one of my fave spicy novels so far. is it still layered with microlevels of misogyny and violence against women? yeah. at the very least, its easy to ignore or completely miss. either way, it’s still better than other spicy novels i’ve read.

anyway its like 3am so im giving this 4 stars and heading to bed. have fun with this one everyone!
