Que livro booooooom! Há 2 histórias acontecendo e que obviamente vão se entrelaçar no final. Um homem recluso é achado afogado em uma cidade super tranquila. Calvin está tentando fazer sua padaria bombar na internet com a ajuda da esposa Vicky. Para isso, eles divulgam uma senhora comendo um bolo dizendo que é melhor do que sexo (amei a propaganda!!!). Viraliza e todos querem conhecer a padaria e mandar mensagens aos donos. Calvin começa a responder uma moça que começa a ficar insistente nas mensagens, Vicky pede que ele se afaste e ele o faz. Até precisar de uma atendente para dar conta do serviço. Ele contrata a stalker (Mel) sem saber. Quando ele descobre, acha bizarro, mas ela trabalha bem e eles estão precisando. Um dia Calvin vai deixá-la em casa, por insistência dela, com medo dos malas da rua etc, ele vai, come algo que ela oferece e adormece. Vicky fica p da vida e some. Começa a busca pela esposa enquanto há informações de que ele a traía com Mel. A policial mostra a foto do cara morto para ele e o caos é instaurado, pois é seu melhor amigo do passado. Há a narrativa do passado, em que Calvin perde a irmã em um acidente – ela, apaixonada por um vocalista de banda meio drogado, ele dirige o carro e ela morre no acidente, o cara não dá muita importância ao fato e isso irrita Calvin. Ele e o melhor amigo (o morto) planejam matar o cara, mas só o jogam no lago, ele bate a cabeça e eles não o socorrem. A amizade termina pela promessa de silêncio. O amigo fica angustiado, isolado, se envolve com uma mulher, conta para ela a história, a filha dela ouve tudo, conta para o crush mala, ele quer ganhar dinheiro, conta para os irmãos do músico, que planejam a morte de ambos os homens e Vicky (triângulo amoroso). A policial chega bem na hora (como sempre), não só ela como Mel, a stalker, que salva seu amor. Calvin e Vicky continuam juntos, a policial não o intima pela morte do passado porque sabe que a pena dele será a culpa que carregará até o fim da vida, Mel se muda e já começa a stalker outro boy, que tem namorada (hahaha). AMEI!

Some nice twists but really, really, disliked Calvin. Vickie and Tara are saints for putting up with him.
