I was so excited to read this book after falling in love with Hendrix in the first two books, and I was so happy she finally has her book and found her HEA, her way! 🤭
I will say, this book took me a little longer to get into then the last two books, but I think it’s because of life being so busy so I wasn’t able to dive into this book as much as I would have liked to… I also felt like it was a little slow and dragged on a little at times. Despite that, it was still a great read, and I found the writing and storyline in this book was so beautiful. I loved all the discussions on Alzheimer’s, and how it was handled with such love and care. It felt like I was able to feel what Hendrix was feeling, and I loved her journey and growth while helping taking care of her mom.
Again, like the other books in this series, this books made me feel every emotion and I just loved Hendrix and her heart and beliefs so much. She’s one of the strongest FMC I read about in a while, and I love it! She was so true to herself and what she believed in, and always put others before her. I also love how much of a girl boss she is and makes me want to work hard to achieve my dreams!
I will say, the romance between her and Maverick took me a little longer to get into compared to the other books. I just didn’t fall in love with Maverick as much as I did for the other heroes in this series, but I did like them together in the end. They were good for each other and were able to connect and be themselves together, and had so much in common, it’s no surprise they fell in love. Maverick felt a little shallow to me and I would have liked to see a bit more from him, but I really liked how honest he was and how much effort he put into courting Hendrix.
Overall, despite being my least favorite, this book was a good one to end the series. It tied everything together pretty well and it was nice to see the Skyland girls again all together and happy. If you’re looking for a series that will make you feel all the emotions and love, then this series is definitely for you!
