Really great book to get me out of a longer reading slump. So interested to see where this series goes!

I follow Daniel's YouTube channel, so I wanted to give this novella a try and review. First, I want to explain my star rating.

I rarely give 1 star ratings, if it's that bad I won't finish it. Although there have been times that I have changed a star rating after time has passed. 2 stars means exactly what it says, it was ok. Most likely I won't read another book by that author. 3 stars means, I liked it. If it's part of a series, I will read another in that series. 4 stars means I really liked it, and I will definitely read more by that author, and would highly recommend that book, for either literary style or content. Sometimes content is more important than writing style. I rarely give 5 stars. 5 stars to me means the absolute best in writing style and content. Usually that means a classic work like [b:War and Peace|656|War and Peace|Leo Tolstoy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1413215930l/656._SY75_.jpg|4912783], [b:Sense and Sensibility|14935|Sense and Sensibility|Jane Austen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1397245675l/14935._SY75_.jpg|2809709], or [b:Les Miserables|36377471|Les Miserables|Victor Hugo|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1509394980l/36377471._SY75_.jpg|3208463]. 5 star can also mean the best of a genre, and I have read more than once and have found that they are still the best. Books like [b:The Lord of the Rings|33|The Lord of the Rings|J.R.R. Tolkien|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1566425108l/33._SX50_.jpg|3462456] or [b:The Way of Kings|7235533|The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1)|Brandon Sanderson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388184640l/7235533._SY75_.jpg|8134945].

I liked Breach of Peace, I enjoyed the twists and turns of this story. I think Mr. Greene has potential and I look forward to reading more by him. Yes, there was graphic violence, and one has to suspend belief quite a bit.

I really enjoyed this book, but it suffered by being too short. I liked what I read, but I ended the book not having a clear idea of what the government, rebels, and deities were all about. I will say that I'm excited to read novella #2 and that I really liked the writing style!

Hm. Well. I have very conflicting feelings about this book. It was good. Looking forward to learning more about the world because it can definitely be expanded and I feel as though I was pulled in and out of it too quickly. Good for a debut novella though, looking forward to seeing where Greene can go with this.
