This whole series is 5 stars for me. I needed to reread this one after finishing the latest season of the TV show left me in a tizzy. Books are way better. 🙌

Maybe when I read it again I’ll fall in love with this book. But right now, the lack of action, the neatly tied up stories, having had wait so many years…I expected more, so much more. I feel let down.

Started out a bit slow, but picked up in the end. Did not disappoint!
I'm a relatively new Outlander fan, so I've only been waiting for a year or so for this book, so I can't imagine those who waited for 7 years!! I've noticed a lot of negative reviews about this book and did it jump from character to character? Yes. Was it a lot of story building and not as much action? Also yes. Did I still love every single second with these characters, unequivocally yes! I feel like I've heard the 10th book is supposed to be the last, and if that's the case, I think that even adds to why this book made sense. There are a lot of storylines that need to come to conclusion, and this book was building all of those storylines to their climactic points. We just haven't quite reached the end yet. Overall, I still loved it and will absolutely read it again.
