I'm disappointed in how this book ended. The fact that Gabriel died at the end just makes me angry. Maybe it would be too unrealistic to have a happy ending? But the fact that this is just another series that ends with the bury your gays trope really fucking sucks. I can't fully express how disappointed I am that my experience of reading this series, which I really enjoyed, is soiled by how Green chose to end it.

It has been a while since the last time I  devoured a book series.
This last installment had my heart racing, my eyes glued to the page and my tears flowing.
It is definitely not perfect as far as plot, character building, and writing style are concerned, but I've decided to rate it 5 stars for the amount of emotions it brought forth in me.

I started reading this book years ago but dropped it at the beginning of part 3. I accidentally spoiled it for myself and I talked about it with a guy I was seeing at the time and he kinda just belittled the ending (
SpoilerHe made a comment that was along the lines "Oh it's just another kill your gays book
) and it's so strange how a small comment can crush your enthusiasm for something.

I'm obviously not seeing him anymore.

Anyway, years later and I've listened to all the audiobooks which I highly recommend. It fits well with the first person perspective and Nathan's sometimes rambly thoughts. The narrator does a really good job.

I'm really glad to finally see Nathan's and Gabriel's and the Alliance's and everyone's stories to the end.
