It was good like all Riley sager thrillers but not my fav. Again I can never guess the ending no matter how hard I try but this one let me down and I wanted further explanation for everyone’s actions?? First half was slow but then it picked up & I read it in a night just to find out what happens.

With all the reviews I read about this book, I was instantly suspicious of everyone in the book. And because everyone was suspicious, the pace of the book just frustrated me. Not entirely in a bad way.

I'm not really sure I enjoyed the relationships in this book. I just felt that they were all not right for each other and ignoring all the red flags.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. Quincy was such an unreliable narrator and it kept me at the edge of my seat.

This was a fun Riley Sager novel. I am finally caught up on his whole back catalog.

We follow Quincy who is a Final Girl. The only survivor of the Pine Cottage murders.

I think this would have been so much bette if it was more on the horror side then thriller. When everyone thinks of Final Girls the first thing that probably comes to mind is horror films.

I did not guess the killer so that was a win.

I was disappointed in this book. I loved reading Lock Every Door by Riley Sager and being that Final Girls was so popular, I was very excited to get my hands on a copy of this story. Without giving too much away, let me start by saying... Did he consult any actual women before writing this character?

To me, I couldn't see Quincy as an individual and get lost in her character because it was just so unbelievable. I recall a point in the story where she said, "you know, us girls, always going to the bathroom together" and even if it was to be taken with sarcasm, whaaat? Combined with Quincy dealing with her trauma from nearly being murdered by baking, it was too much for me.

The writing felt amateur and it took away from what could've been an amazing story. The plot itself was fun, but some parts left me totally confused and felt forced.

The ending? *eye roll*

Yes, I will continue to read Sager, but this one was a miss for me. I've given three stars simply because it wasn't unbearable and it was entertaining, but it was entertaining in the way that you enjoy books when you're a teenager.

Riley Sager sets out to thrill us once again! Final Girls was nothing like I expected it to be, it was so much better!

Quincey Carpenter has a successful baking blog, perfect boyfriend, perfect house, and perfect life until one day her carefully constructed reality is shattered. Quincey must face her darkest moments except, she cannot remember any of it. She knows she survived a massacre, but she has literally no memory of the event. As her world turns inside out, her memory starts to come back, and Quincey realizes something is not right.

I found this book to be a fun, fast paced read -- perfect for cleansing my pallet after Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez. True to Riley Sager, there were a lot of twists and turns and some I wasn't anticipating which I appreciate. I actually downloaded the audio book too so that I could listen when I was driving so I wasn't wasting any time.

Overall 3.5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It was my first Riley Sager book and I am sure I will be reading more from him.
This book was so good, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out more.
It was intriguing, suspenseful, and I couldn’t trust the characters, it made me on the edge of my seat.

2.75/5⭐️?
Okay, this one wasn't great. There were more than one books fair share of eye-roll moments. Fairly predictable, pieces were pretty easy to put together, but it's not bad by any means.

Quincy is a final girl, she's the sole survivor of a tragedy. She's not the only one, there are two more out there. One that wants to help and one that only wanted to disappear. Quincy doesn't remember what happened. She remembers before the first death and running blood-soaked out of the woods to her rescue. This is the fucked up way she figures out her own story.
