Worth the Wait

I feel like I've been waiting forever for Pixie and Bear's story and I can say with 100% certainty that it was worth EVERY second. As the final book in the Ballsy Boys series I had huge expectations for Pixie and not only were they met, they were exceeded. From the other books we know that Pixie and Bear have some major chemistry but until now we didn't know what was holding them back. The story behind the scenes is heartbreaking and several times I nearly cried. At the same time Pixie has the perfect bratty sense of humor and I laughed more times than I can count. This book is H.O.T. A certain Daddy might have even come out of retirement to film a scene with his boy! *wink wink* One of my favorite elements (besides the hot Daddy/boy thing) is that the whole gang is together in this book. The authors did a fantastic job of circling back around and giving more insight into all the previous Ballsy Boys and their men. I am a major sucker for a happy ending and there were happy ever afters all around. I am also ecstatic about what's next! A little something for the kinkier readers- I'm pretty sure we're going to love the Kinky Boys just as much! ❤️

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book just not as much as the other books in the series. We didn’t get much interaction between Pixie and Bear as it was mostly about them separately. Pixie came to LA to get into fashion school but due to money problems he decided to give p*rn a go when Bear approached him at a club and gave him his card. Man, was it heartbreaking reading about Bear losing his boyfriend at such a young age due to AIDS which he used as a crutch for not allowing anyone close to him. Most of the book Bear was denying Pixie, even though he’s wanted him since they met.

In order to fulfil his dying boyfriend Travis’s wishes Bear spent a lot of his spare time at a local hospice so no one would have to die alone. I loved meeting Travis he was a complete hoot and didn’t feel sorry for himself because he was dying and I definitely both him and Bear needed each other. Bear spent time with Travis before he died and they grew and amazing friendship in such a short amount of time. I loved their heart to hearts they had and his final words to Bear just before he died were exactly what he needed. It was heartbreaking that Travis was in love with his married, straight best friend Ryan and has been for years. He’s even Ryan’s kids godfather.

Ryan has always known and had been tempted while he was going through a rough patch with his wife but he valued Travis as a person too much as well as a best friend to do that to him, let alone his wife. He’d rather love him as a best friend that destroy that by telling Travis that he’s always known and doesn’t feel the same, as it’ll make things extremely awkward between them. It showed Bear how much Ryan loves and respects Travis even if its not romantic love. I’m glad that we got to find out how each of the Ballsy Boys are doing since this is the end of the series but I wish it was a seperate epilogue as it take away from Pixie and Bear. The chemistry between Bear and Pixie was off the charts. I’m really looking forward to reading the bonus novella Mixer next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and both authors to everyone.

Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me. 80% of this book was rehashing things we already knew.

The book started back before Pixie joined the Ballsy Boys. Um, he was in Rebel. So we get so see the issues with Rebel and Troy all over...sigh. Same with Brewer and Tank, Heart and Lucas and Mason, and then Campy and Jackson. Given we see things from Pixie and Bear's side, but we already knew all of this. We knew Bear would get grumbly. We knew Pixie would flirt and intentionally make Bear grumbly.

Had this book started where Campy and Jackson left off, I might've been ok.

I really enjoyed this book, and the entire series actually! I'm sad I'm done and will be reading the Kinky Boys spinoff for sure. Pixie was fun and it was nice to see all the other characters as well.

There were a few of usual misspellings. I thought "saddle up" instead of "sidle up" in Tank was great but sweet mercy, this one has "quaffed in a pompadour" instead of "coifed". Good stuff man.

One, hot, sweet, sexy ride!

Pixie us an amazing story. While Bear works to overcome a tragic event at a young age. Pixie works to convince Bear that he is all the young man needs.

OMG ending the book with all the boys getting married or engaged? Broke my lil gay heart! I love Pixie and Bear together so much (and I wish I could watch their Kinky Boys video irl). Also loved the addition of Travis and Ryan. Lots of feels (and tears) in this one. -1 star for Bear not pulling his head out of his ass sooner!

Definitely worth the wait and the anticipation.

I especially liked how it was a slow burn, which is not standard for daddy/boy books (that I have read), and at the same time, it was nice that Pixie had had that kind of relationship before and new the ropes and what he wanted.

It was actually quite angsty with the pining and rejections from Bear, and both their feelings towards each other and their situation as well as Bear's heartache about his past made me tear up throughout a lot of the book.

The epilogue was maybe a tiny bit too sweet, but I get it since it's the last book and the series and it wraps up all the other storylines as well, but since I was kinda invested in the other relationships as well, it was heartwarming.
