Audiobook Review. I talk a lot of shit about Holly Jackson in some of my reviews, so it's only right to acknowledge that she really knocked it out of the park on this one. I love Dora's sweet tone and Brooklyn accent, which threaded the needle between cute and annoying very successfully. And Bethiah has the Tough Girl voice without being a chatacture. Really great job from her and Mason both.

This book was easily the best of this series. Loved the dynamic, loved the development of one of my most beloved side characters, loved the victory lap around the Risdaverse. Dora is a delight, Jameth is adorable, and the polyamorous relationship was just perfection. Can't recommend this enough to fans of the Dixonverse!

These 3 characters worked so well together and I may have cried. But only a little bit. Or a lot a bit.
Bethiah has offered to care for Dora while she tries to figure out life in space Bethiah has a weird relationship with Jamef, mostly involving stealing from each other as a way of flirting. And, like in every other book with Bethiah in it, chaos ensues.
The first quarter of this book was a bit slow, but it picked up well soon after. Having a triad to handle Bethiah’s complex personality worked well and all the characters had a good give and take after the necessary learning curves.

Realistically, this is the best Corsairs book in the bunch. I had heard not so great things, so I wasn't sure, but I really liked it. This is very much just vibes because not a lot actually happens plot wise. I remember wondering what the mission would be because I couldn't think of anything and I guess Ruby Dixon thought the same (jk, I read the afterward). I didn’  think I'd like reading about a triad, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dixon did a great job of humanizing each partner and not making the sex the main focus of their relationship. I'm sad that Corsairs is over because we could technically get a 6th book (Zakoar's assistant and Zebah). I hope one day Simone gets a book. As for Rhonda, nah.

I am monogamous, and I’m pretty firm in that, and usually polyamory / why choose romances do not appeal to me at all. I gave this one a shot because I love Ruby Dixon and I am SO glad I did. I loved this book, I loved these characters, I loved their romance, it was wonderful, beautiful, impeccable. It hit all the high notes on hot, sweet, tender, it was just a perfect plate of chicken wings. The plot felt a little meandering at times, but I didn’t care, I was just here to hang out with my beloveds. This book made me so happy I was gushing to my roommate in line at the post office.
