Really looking forward to the next book in this series later this year!
Just couldn’t keep up with the POV changes and I can’t figure out what plot were supposed to be following
Some interesting characters and magical stuff. The writing lacks depth and the romance is forced. A quick read to feed a fantasy craving.
No brain cells were harmed during the reading of this book.
I have read many many Nora Roberts books in my younger days and was not planning to start again but sometimes you just need to read something VERY light and fluffy that makes you switch off from the real world.
If you know this author’s books you will know that there will be romance, no real danger or tension, some cookie cutter good and bad guys but overall a safe and easy read.

Loved it! Darker and edgier than her previous trilogies. Looking forward to book 2 and 3!

Nervous but Pleased.
I was a bit nervous when I first started reading this book, not sure why, maybe because of the end of the world scenario, but being Nora Roberts I kept reading. Extremely pleased that I did. She never fails to balance the heartache, suspense, intrigue and hope in her stories. Thoroughly Pleased.

My first Nora Roberts, so I had no real expectations going in. Honestly it's not a 4 star book in terms of overall quality, but it was such an easy and enjoyable read, which is what I needed at the moment.
Here's the deal: the characters are literally all either totally good beyond belief or absolutely evil, and the story is completely straightforward. There's not a lot of subtlety here and it is a bit lightweight overall.
That said, I didn't care much, and the story has a nice, quick page turning pace that doesn't require much from the reader other than to sit back and enjoy it. Which I did.

Ugh. The male characters all sounds exactly the same, excepting one that has an accent. There's no personality. I'm also pretty annoyed this plot went so quickly to "Americans have to figure out how to survive without shopping". How dreary and boring.
