Muy buen libro, una historia que al principio no me pareció original pero que después fue tomando un camino cada vez más interesante hasta que al final leí las últimas 100 páginas de corrido, giros que me dejaron con la boca abierta y un final que invita a leer la saga completa!
The beginning was a little rough going with the multiple storylines and massive deaths, but once the stories merged into once central theme, I was riveted. The book has a Walking Dead vibe with magical beings in lieu of zombies. It was quite unlike anything I've read from NR before. I can't wait to pick the next book and so glad I waited for the the completed trilogy.
2.5
Intentaré seguir con la trilogía, pero aprueba por los pelos.

I really wanted to like this book. It was almost a DNF for me. This book started off good, but then got boring in the middle. I felt like the ending was a bit rushed and there were some unanswered questions. There were also a bit too many curse words for me and the romance parts were a bit cringy.

the way this book cured my book slump… legends only
My first Nora Roberts - which I hear isn't like ANY of her others - but I really enjoyed it. And that's saying something because I don't love dystopian books - but this one had enough of the present to make it one I could relate to. It's an illness that takes to killing off millions of people - the immune flee to find each other and safety from marauders and those trying to hunt them down. Lana and Max find each other - and flee together - Lana is pregnant and she is being hunted because people want to kill her baby because she is "the light". Intriguing and really pulled me in - I'll be curious for the sequel.
