So im totally cheating so i can get my reading goal but tbh ill probably just read the no fear for the rest of it. im over halfway done tho so who cares

i know this is a classic, but i hated it. it was so overly complicated and it felt like nothing happened.

I'M FREE

it's almost disappointing seeing that the book i've been reading for school for almost 4 months is a measly 3 star, but i didn't hate it so that's a win. i think this could've been really good if it was written by someone that wasn't nathaniel hawthorne. i got really sick of his writing style really quick. i actually got really invested in the last half of the book, but the weird amount of racism in the last few chapters threw me off. overall, not my favorite classic i've read, but an interesting ride
