This is a hug of a book. Think cozy cardigans, rainy summer evenings, teatime, gentle love stories, food, family - the one you get and the one you find... It’s also about taking risks and pursuing your passion and the slow path of healing after loss. For some reason - I think the combination of heartwarming with a wisp of sadness - it gave me the same kind of feels as a comfort TV series, like Ted Lasso in particular. It’s a restorative, humanity is okay after all, kind of read.

This book is very sweet. It’s a book about recovery, like Twilight:New Moon. I felt there wasn’t enough tension sometimes or it felt a little repetitive. It’s also very poetic which I personally don’t love in a YA book.
