wtf did I just read. Basically they’re stranded on an island with a crazy guy. There are “ghosts”. Lots of blood. But also lots of smut. I started this in Mexico and I feel like I should have DNF-ed but I couldn’t stop reading it. I knew that if I didn’t finish, it would give me nightmares. This book is so fucked up.

I did not had high hopes for this book because I gave satans affair one 1 star and almost wanted to dnf but this book was the whole opposite ! I loved reading it and it was the perfect combination from dark romance and a thriller!

I’ve read a lot of dark romance books, but this one just didn’t hit for me. The relationship felt so forced and didn’t really like the pairing. Though the thrill of it was really nice (even though I guessed it half way through) and I’m the type of person who can’t DNF a book so I had to finish it.

A Truly Phenomenal Read

This has been my favorite book that I’ve read in forever! Seriously, it has it all!! Suspense, romance, spice, mystery, revenge, everything! It was written beautifully and masterfully crafted! I’ll be rereading this one for a long time to come.

Holy shit. I don’t know what this says about me… but this is one of the fastest times I have ever finished a book. This was so good, filled with twists and turns that I never would have expected! The character development was immaculate, and the 🌶️ was just mmmm *Chefs kiss!* of course there were some very triggering parts, but the resilience that the FMC showed was just so great. Definitely would recommend to someone who is into darker romance novels:)

Well, I finished it. I deserve a medal.

Ok I know dark romance wasn’t my thing, but that wasn’t even the worst thing about this book. The writing was appalling. The characters were certifiable. The story was nonexistent and the character development act was probably the only redeemable quality of the entire book. The number of WTFs I WTFed throughout the book (the shark! The drowning sex! The closet nonconsentual fooling around? The crazy lighthouse guy and the ghosts that just were accepted?).
