And Suze is back ladies and gentlemen!!
I am so happy to say those words :)

The second book had me worried, thinking that Meg Cabot had switched the books "ghostly" plot line to something a little more ... well human had me discouraged and flustered. I am so glad she's back!

This book still isn't as good as the first book but I still rated it five stars because it has other ways it benifits, like the fact that a certain girl came to town (who btw pisses me off) and I felt an ever-growing connection with Suze, except I probably would've punched the ***** in the face LOL.

You not only see more depth in Suze's character but you also see more of her relationship with the pastor and other very random people, but it's better then pretending the world doesn't exist beyond your friends.

The brothers characters are finally coming together to create a new image and the family (aside from Suze's still ... coldness?) is finally starting to be whole. Ahh I love happy endings.

Oh did I mention Ghosts? This book had ghosts, and more-so then that you seen the answers coming together piece by piece until the last chapter came around and I found myself on the EXACT same page as Suze. Talk about Excitement!

I cannot wait for the next book, unfortunatley I have collage classes to attend and exams all week.

Please Suze wait for me!

So while I'm not a huge fan of this series - too teenager-y and this-gift-is-a-burden for me - I do enjoy that it's sort of witty and crime-solving, I couldn't say I particularly disliked this book.
I do enjoy myself a YA book but this is not something I would have picked for myself, still an enjoyable enough read though. (UPDATE: after reading #4 I can safely say things get much more interesting and I am now, in fact, a fan)

So while it was not a big hit for me, I think it did all it promised and it was kind of fun so three stars would feel too low a rating.
Can't recommend it to anyone over the age of.. 20 or something though.

This is definitely one of my favorite series. I love Suze and was very glad to see Gina in this one. Suze is still badass and good at getting herself in trouble. I like how she ends up figuring out the mysteries usually by accident. I can't wait to read the next book.

3 books in and Suze is into a another boy from her school that has ghost baggage. And let’s not forget about the weird crush thing going on with the 20 year old ghost that lives in her bedroom (Suze is a 16 year old girl)  It’s actually kind of cringy.

I keep hoping that this series will get better. It’s not.
