I didn't hate this as much as I thought I would. In fact, I found the story engaging (in that I wanted to know what happened next). Do I care to find out what happens in three (four?) more books? No. Was this a light, mindless read appropriate to a lonely Sunday? Yes.

Nostalgia read - fun because of nostalgia; would not recommend to present day readers

I loved this series the first time I read it. It sucked me in and I chose to read over most everything else.
I read all four books in a matter of 13 days. I read them so quickly I couldn't remember what had happened in each individual book, they had just all merged.
I've read them all a second time and still loved them but found Edward to be a little too goody-goody and martyr-ish. He still sounds hot though.
