Came for the single mom-grumpy hero romance, but stayed for the suspense thriller plot.

The characters are relatable and multi-dimensional. The protagonists are both scarred by their own past experiences, but despite all that they still want to fight for a future together. The build up of the romance was a bit slow-burn but the tension and the little moments in between made the wait worth it.

The action-packed, suspenseful sub plot line was surprisingly my favourite part of the novel. The author did such a good job balancing the romance plot and the suspense plot, flawlessly weaving little bits of the suspense in way that made it bittersweet to enjoy the build up of the romance because we (the readers) know there is still something dark lingering the background. If you are looking for a smooth-sailing, contemporary romance then this book is not for you. The subplot adds so much depth and emotional to an already impactful story and there have been a few times that I could literally not put this book down.

It's a book that stays with you long after you've turned the last page, reminding us all of the shadows we carry and the light we can find in each other.

I need to read more Catherine Cowles books!!!

The nickname Tender Heart made me cringe every time I read it. Also, this is 4th book in a row with a kidnapping of the FMC... 3 too many.

Oh my. As soon as I met Aspen previously in the series, I knew she had been through a lot and that she would be perfect for Roan.

I absolutely loved seeing their story unfold and turn into something absolutely beautiful. Seeing Roan finally feel like he belonged was everything I needed and it made it even better seeing Aspen get her happily ever after with him.

Also, little Cady almost stole the whole damn show. So stinkin' cute. Loved her & Charlie's friendship so much.

I’ve been binging this series in order. I loved this book BUT I feel like the story lines are getting incredibly repetitive.. if I could go back in time I would just choose 1-2 books in the series with tropes that I like and read those as stand alones. Again, great book! I loved the story! I just feel like I’ve read basically the same chain of events 4 times in a row now.

Shadows of You was one of my top 5 reads of 2023! I loved it that much. This book is my favorite book in this series. This is the 4th book in The Lost & Found series and is about Roan and Aspen. This book is told from both of their points of view.

Aspen has moved to a new place with her young daughter Cady. She's trying to get away from her past. When she stumbles upon an injured baby deer, Roan is who shows up to help her.

When Aspen decides to take her daughter to a friend's house for dinner, she realizes Roan is her friend's brother. He's the grumpy to her sunshine. Can she keep all of her secrets safe when Roan keeps showing up trying to get to know her?

I loved this book so much, and getting to know these characters! I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!
