jon snow as lord commander is so funny he is running the wall like the fucking navy

My least favourite so far but it’s so good to read about Jon again.

The character development, especially that of Jon Snow is admirable. Writing on the whole is a let down. In spite of several good plot twists which are not as great as the twists and turns in A Storm of Swords, character development and breath taking descriptions of new scenery, the writing could have done with some polishing and editing.

Good book. The reason these are so fast and quick to read is because of the perspective shifts I think. You never spend a lot of time at once with any character, meaning the narrative can constantly feel new and short.
