i can't say much about this its the 14th book of the series but 12th mission in the main series
i wonder how long we have to wait to get the next book that sees Alex finish off Nightshade like he did Scorpia

Hews pretty closely to the standard Alex Rider formula, but still very entertaining thanks to Horowitz’s ability to craft pulse pounding set pieces.

This series never disappoints with the next book always being better than the last one. As always I really loved Alex there is never a time where he is unlikable at all he is like a normal teenage boy with many other things he is very resourceful so able to handle a crisis and get out of most situations. I also loved both Jack Starbright and Tom they had better roles to play this time I liked how they fit well in what happens in the book. I really liked the plot it started with a setup for the plot with a character dying and moving to Alex thinking its all over and continuing with him on another case to save a bunch of people. I really liked how it ended and how it was set up for more of the Nightshade organization with a giant target on Alex's back I am looking forward to where the story goes next.

After the first few of these books, the plot starts becoming extremely similar and it never really feels like Alex or the world is in danger as ya know that the bad guys plot will always be fooled at the last minute.
I was hoping this would be the last one in the series and would finally get closure but seems like there will be more!
I just want there to finally be a satisfying ending or even a change to the generic formula.
That being said, I will probably will read any new ones in the series in order to bring closure!

Most of this rating is for nostalgic purposes but this'll probably be the last book in the series i read. I never realised as a kid how repetitive each book is...
