Quite the ending to an incredible series (I know it’s not actually done).
I listened to the first two books on audio and wanted to read the last. Surprisingly, I wasn’t as hooked this time. The writing is still great but a bit heavy at times. There are many details. Those last 100 or so pages though? Wow… The DRAMA.
What I like the most is the friendships. I am so glad not ALL of them died in the end!
I also wish the changes to Darrow were more obvious. Most of the time he felt like the same from the previous books and I was being told he had changed so much all the time. I would have liked it to be more heavy hitting. He went through a lot!
