This was probably my least favorite of the series but I’m glad I finished it. I feel like the ending felt a little rushed after committing so much time to these books.

I’d probably give it a 3.5 ⭐️.

Consistent to the end, the trilogy concludes as it began: with a thoroughly entertaining plot, rip-roaring action, engaging characters (but jerky characterisation), and quite a bit of superfluous, ungainly description. The writing is at its best in dynamic scenes, detailing bodies and battlefields. It is at its weakest when it has to depict relationships and emotional turmoil, alternating between clumsiness and cliche.

Essentially, it's the literary equivalent of a Michael Bay or John Woo film, full of extravagant action sequences - and sometimes that's exactly what you're in the mood for.

Almost everything about this book was incredible and beyond what i expected for this saga. However, one storyline felt far too cliché and wrapped in a bow for my liking that it dropped my rating so much! Im quite frustrated about it, and it'  left me feeling a bit icked. I completely understand this is my opinion only though, and still look forward to digging in to the next one.
