this book cause it honestly isnt the best. however it did have some moments that made me laugh. Its not the worst book in the world but its not my fav. someone on TikTok said it was a gay enemies to lovers and I was so hyped... I would just like to say, they were 'enemies' for like 5 seconds and then the next they were making out. I felt like the book was poorly written, and it felt forced at times. Casey tried to cover some many topics in one book and I feel they just didnt do a good job. I would've loved if the book actually did have more of a would they? should they? element, because I feel like if she wanted to make the book a bit more relatable, that would've been the way to go.

I’m a woman with a freakishly large TBR list and a famously slow reader due to my choice of academic pursuits.

The fast approaching date for the release of the movie based on the book hastened my choice to pick up this volume.

Red, White and Royal Blue is a breath of fresh air in the mundane existence that I call life. It’s a cool breeze on a balmy summer evening. It’s a salve to the heart of a hopeless romantic stuck in a decidedly un-romantic world.

Alex Claremont-Diaz and Henry George Edward James Fox-Mountchristen Windsor make quite the pair, each symbols for their own demographics, each being an example of perfection in a world crawling with cameras waiting to catch a vulnerable moment. A world that clamours for personal anecdotes of “famous” personalities. Not unlike ours, eh? Each one is a broken puzzle piece, not really fitting in anywhere, but with each other, our boys are home ❤️

This one is pure fluff, saccharine sweet but not unpleasantly so. The path is not all straightforward though with a fiasco of epic proportions that threatens more than just the strength of two lovers’ hearts. The pitfall, though predictable, is terrifying to imagine being a part of.

Read for heartwarming romance. Read for two very different fairy tale princes who find homes in each other. Read to reaffirm the fact that true love only happens when your demons find a home, a heart that is not only accepting, but sheltering as well. Read for witty banter. Read for forbidden love.

Love is indomitable.

Dear Thisbe,
I wish there wasn’t a wall.
Pyramus.

A fun, charming book. Reading the author's concept for writing this novel helped me see what she was trying to give to her audience and it was hope. Hope that things will change and improve politically in the US of A and that lgbtq relationships will become as common place as heterosexual relationships. It's not deep and philosophical but it's a book that comes across as yearning for a brighter future.

Con: The amount of cursing in it had me a little thrown and didn't really add much to the story.

The premise of the book was good - son of US president and son of a British monarch falling in love and having to hide their relationship. However, I was turned off with all the in depth sex scenes.
