This was a very sweet read. I loved the characters and the storyline.

I just had an issue with how love the chapters were. They definitely could've been split up into much shorter chapters and it would've been so much easier to read. And another issue that is due to the long chapters was the timing of the book. This book spans over about a year. And there would be weeks passing in the middle of a chapter and sometimes it wasn't all that clear that it happened and it would pull me out of the story. It would've been so much easier had the a new chapter started when there was a jump in time.

Other than those two things, I thought this book was great and I'd absolutely recommend if you're looking for something sweet to read.

Amazing writing, they wrote banter incredibly well, it was smart and had layers to the meaning and the characters. I was laughing and crying throughout. Such an amazing story

swoon!! this book gave me butterflies and had me giggling left and right. so many loveable characters, and great 2019 dialogue. the modern dialogue didn’t feel forced, it was exactly how my friends and i talk making it easy to read. a world i wish we lived in (no pandemic, female president, prominent political gays in us and uk). i think this is my cap for romance novels, the plot was interesting enough to hook me, if it’s any more sappy and less plot driven than this i don’t think I’d enjoy it. I did find myself struggling to finish the last 100 or so pages because it was so predictable, but when i sat down to finish it, it was easy and still fun to read.

I think this book is a really good story and concept and I liked it a lot but it was so so long! At least for me. There was a bunch that I thought was unnecessarily long and that could have been shortened. But that’s my only gripe with this book!

I really liked this book, but hated the incorrect understanding of the British monarchy. Henry absolutely wouldn't be called the Prince of Wales! If you're going to include something as well known as the British monarchy you really need to get your information/titles correct. I know the author is American, so may not fully understand it, but that's what editors etc are for.
Aside from that (once you just suspend belief) it's a really enjoyable book.
