I loved this book so much! It was a re-read fully inspired by the movie, and I’m so glad I read it again!!

For someone who’s been wanting to read this book for a while, my expectations for Red, White, and Royal Blue were met.

I thought Alex and Henry (who honestly seem somewhat to resemble Prince Harry) had good chemistry together and I did like McQuiston’s writing style with telling their story. I also liked the cast of characters that McQuiston created and they seemed to balance each other out. Though, my only complaint about this book is that it’s kind of long and there were some parts that kind of seemed to drag on.

Nevertheless, Red, White, and Royal Blue is worth the hype.

another 24-hour read! i haven’t read a depiction of a bisexual character this good since aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe! something about this story is really personal to me despite having very little in common with the main characters
when luna told alex he should end up with a girl and live an easy life because he has that option that really struck me since that’s something that’s unfortunately been said to me

Just as good the second time around. I love this sweet, hopeful story, it’s lovable and admirable cast of characters, and the hilarious and poignant writing that ties it all together.

I read Red, White, & Royal Blue again in the aftermath of Prime's film adaptation release. The film is cute & fun for sure, but all it does is making me appreciate how layered the story in the original book is.

I can't believe the way it still managed to be a delighful escapism the second time around. All of these characters are endearingly flawed, I root for them until the very end.

The only draw back for me might be the excessive amount pop culture references. I don't mind the nod towards Stars Wars or The Hunger Games, honestly. The frequent mention of a particular magical fantasy series however? Doesn't age well. I could do without that, but oh well.

If a book managed to make me sit through the topic of international relations and American politics, they do something great.
