What happens when you're forced to have an alien as a pen pal? You send each other things you don't like about your own planet in an attempt to get rid of it (including your big sister).

What an adorable, feel-good picture book that would put a smile on the face of any cranky-pants.

Funny picturebook. It would make a great storytime book for K-2 paired with "Library Mouse" for a storytime about writing.

This a fun book that is perfect for siblings who enjoy pestering brothers or sisters. I can see this book being well loved by my students. It has gross out humor, silliness, and ends with a emotional message. All in all, it is fun and I know it will be popular in the library.

Earth to Clunk was a fun science fiction picture book with fun illustrations. The story itself was good, but not a book I would read over and over to my kids. I think that the main characters poor attitude at the beginning put me off a bit, and by the end I knew he was a good kids, but I didn't really care enough about him to make it worth a book worth reading again. I do think that children from 5-7 years would enjoy this book and it's silly premise of having an alien pen pal.

I might have marked this just a 4 but I laughed too much through this. So I bumped it up to a 5. The quirky and fun illustrations matched perfectly with the text. Loved that he mailed his sister to an alien in outer space.

In Earth to Clunk, a boy is assigned a pen pal named Clunk. The boy does not want an alien for a pen pal and tries various ways to dissuade Clunk from responding to his letters and gifts in silly and sometimes kind of gross ways.
My six year old wasn't all that into this book right away, I think because he didn't know what a pen pal was, but once the boy's tactics started getting a little gross then he was glued to the pages.
The entire trip to the library my son alternated between flipping through all the pages again and asking "Do we HAVE to return it?" This book was definitely a winner in our house.
