Very excited when this book came out! :) But sadly disappointed when it wasn't as good as the others:( I really wish more had happened in this book. (Mostly wish I read more of Mr. Blackbourne <3)And I really REALLY hope that Sang will become more confident in an upcoming book soon. I want to see more of Volto too.

Original review: I had a more difficult time getting into this book. I kept putting it down, then didn't pick it up for weeks at a time. Then suddenly last night, I just got sucked back in and finished it in a few hours. I always enjoy the story and of course I love the characters so I don't know what it was about the beginning that was slow for me.

Reread September: Another great book with a lot more romance development. I liked getting more of Luke because he is just so chill and fun.

Luke-heavy. I just....don't think I can continue this series. It's not for me.

I enjoy the way these books are written but I'm getting bored with how drawn out they are. I feel like nothing is happening anymore. It's like watching paint dry. There was some mild action with Hendricks and Volto at the end but the rest is just boring 'pity me' bs. Move along already. Despite those feelings, I am addicted to this series and cannot manage to hit the pause button. I enjoyed the time spent with Luke but the random worry about him was stupid. There as no validity to it. I need closer on the current plots and open new ones please.

I have gotten very into reading Reverse Harem novels lately becasue of this series. It's super hard to find decent ones that don't just read like fan fiction and this series is quite good actually. This series is really good though, it is slow to develop but that allows for more books in the series which is a good thing. Both the characters and the story are fully fleshed out and well written. I'm enjoying becoming invested in this world and pleased that I discovered this author.

Reread:
12/02/15 2.5 stars
Arg I so wanted to love this one as much as the others, but I didn't. :( So much of it didn't make sense and nothing happened. I know nothing happens in a lot of the books but this felt like more nothing to me. Yeah, I know that doesn't make sense either lol.

The good things:
The first chapter
Thanksgiving
The football game
Sang & Mr Blackbourne with the kids
Going Black Friday shopping (I knew I should have read this last week!)
Sprinkles, the most adorable pet ever (seriously, who has fan art of that chapter??)
Luke being adorable when sick
"Marshmallows are magic."

Way less of Sang's "tics"

The bad things:
The typos. OMG they drive me crazy!! Please please get a better copy editor!
It seemed really short. I don't think it was though?
They saw Wil and didn't call Kayli?? I'm almost more into her story right now than Sang's.
Why didn't anyone ask how Volto got them sick?? Does he have access to biological war fare now? And I would have cried if Luke was Volto.

07/19/16 I'm bumping this up to a solid 3 stars this time.

03/27/17
05/28/19 3.5 stars now. I forgot how much "everyday stuff" was in this one and I actually really like that now. I think my main problem with it the first time was them believing that Volta was
Luke and I did not like that all lol.

It's a testament to Stone's ability for characterization that I knew this book was going to focus on Luke just from the title.
