I absolutely loved this! Hardy's writing, storytelling, symbolism, foreshadowing, and characterization is so enthralling and rich, and the social and psychological nuance delicately weaved into his words just further elevates the novel's poignancy.

Quite a chewy read, there were plenty of highlights but the main flow of the book was quite monotonous.
