I knew going into this read that I’m a Nicholas Sparks fanatic and would probably love it, I was so glad it met my expectations! 
I have never been to America or more specifically Georgia, yet the world building and scenery described made me feel like I was transported! By the end of the book I felt as though I understood each character as if I was another resident of New Bern.
Not to mention the ending was great, one of my pet peeves is when I’m obsessed with a story just to be disappointed by how the story ends or by having un answered questions. I was happy with where the story ended and very pleased to be able to give this book five stars.

The main character is a war veteran who suffers from PTSD - he mentions the incidents that caused to him to leave the Afghanistan, and his past bad drinking habits. Side characters experience medical diagnosis and treatment.

meh.... it was just okay but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend if they asked for a rec.
