A gem of a book. Mostly consisting of clear, precise prose meditating on all the different stages of a woman’s life- as a girl with dreams, as a wife and mother, as someone heartbroken and betrayed by the man she love, finding support among other women, finding adversary in other women.

Occasionally it drifted into areas I found didn’t captivate me as much, and at times the direct speech was awkward and stilted, but all the same it’s a very tender and well written book that left me with much to mull over.

beautifully written and complex! I felt it meandered a bit at the end but I highly recommend! she has a lovely way of dissecting her emotions and about the hurt selfish men in polygamist relationships cause

Quickfire thoughts: poignant, ebbed and flowed like a river, poetic, beautiful.
