This was stretched out as a long, slow read for me, but once I got more into it, it felt quite true to the Sandman world. Wilson introduces new characters wonderfully and I'm interested to see more of them.

Waking Hours is the best thing to come out of the Sandman Universe relaunch. Wilson’s writing aligns with classic Gaiman Sandman effortlessly.

Conclusion felt "forced" even tho it was kinda expected, its an okay addition. I liked the first story arc more and the second felt rough with it's returning Sandman characters and Faeries. Daniel continues fails to stand out from Morpheus, sadly but since Dream is genuinely a fucking loser and never really the reason why I liked Sandman so much it's not a letdown.

Also, I wonder when I'll not jumpscared by a John Constantine cameo in a Dreaming Comic.

Big heart for this book. Familiar characters, new setting & circumstances, and new characters (I think, been a while since I read in the Sandman universe) to expand on.
