Gabriel Pike is an engineer. The company that Gabriel works for has been selected for a very important task. They have been chosen to escort a massive iceberg to New York. The iceberg will help supply the city with a precious supply of water.
The person responsible for bring the water to New York is Nigel Cain. He not only will bring the iceberg back with the help of Pike and his company but Cain built a five star hotel on top of the iceberg. Cain is making the iceberg like a modern day titanic experience. Including a horrible storm.
I was really excited for this book. It sounded really good. It was good but on the same hand I was a little disappointed at the same time. The book started out strong with lots of action but than it slowed down a few notches for a steady pace. I did not feel like the story picked up speed again until the storm hit the iceberg which did not happen until about half way. than the story was moving at a fast pace with plenty of action. I really liked Pike. He may not have seemed like a likely hero in the beginning but he is definitely an action hero. Mr. Byers is a descriptive writer. He explained in great detail all of the features of the hotel on the iceberg. It was like I was one of the passengers staying in the hotel. So if you are looking for something different to read than your normal romance, mystery, vampires, and werewolves than you should check out Arctic Fire.
