This book really delivered on vibes (as per usual with T Kingfisher). I also really liked the characters in this one, possibly even better than the first book. Probably because the world was more built up than just "spooky house" and we got to see the characters on their own turf. I loved the lore and the folktales and traditions of Gallacia. It was a simple story, but it had surprising depth. I love dysfunctional sleep in horror stories, it's kind of my thing. Kingfisher is so good at "half fantasy, half scary story"
