Fascinating book. Hilarious at times. Dark and bleak and terrifying, like a trip to the supermarket or staring out my window at the Palisades fire coming up towards the Valley on a Thursday afternoon.
Chaotic, insightful, more relevant now than ever. This book is highly stylized and a prime example of postmodernism, so don’t go into it expecting traditional characterization and plot and so forth.
The themes, the philosophical probing, the living dead. The pervasive sense of dread. The horror. The horror.

Unlike anything I’ve ever read before, and for that alone I enjoyed it.

Boring. Boorish. Self important. An eloquent book about nothing much.

An interesting premise but the author has a little too much fun pretending to be a philosopher.

I found a lot of humanity in this book and thought that it shared some thought provoking insights on mundane life. However, I kept expecting something more without it ever showing up.

Feels like an existential crisis for white men that goes on for 300+pages. Trying to hit on profundity and meaning but reads like a deeply insecure stoner’s idea of postmodern depth. Major yawn, mind numbing dialogue, it’s a no for me dawg.

This book is funny, brilliant and a little strange in so many ways. It forces you to analyze and rethink every aspect of your life. With themes relevant to the modern world, it provides a powerful insight into the white noise that fills our lives and the feeling of nothingness alongside the fear of death that so many people experience. This book will make you question every choice you've ever made and how these choices will affect you in the long run. If you're looking for a book that will change the way you think and look at life then this is definitely the perfect book for you.
