True crime stories are always fascinating because they actually happen. As a whole the places of the human mind are capable of interesting and terrible things. However I don't feel you have to be a fantastic writer to relay the information. While intriguing, this is a fast read and one story can only hold your attention so long when its from a outsiders point of view.

The first 2 stories were good, as well as the final one. Everything in the middle was sub par- would have been better with just the 3 good ones at greater length.

Definitely not as engaging as some of Rule’s other books, but still good.

I wasn’t totally impressed for an Ann Rule book but I did love that the stories that weren’t nearly as interesting were kept short and sweet.

Ann Rule presents the facts of all the cases featured in this book in a way that is easy to read and factual. This book was just okay, in my opinion. I do not really care for the books that feature several cases in one. I like an in depth view of one specific case. I know there are a lot of die hard Ann Rule fans that love these types of books, and they can be a good introduction into the world of true crime for people who are just getting into it.
