As an Amazon First Reads selection, I didn’t hate this book. However, there was excessive domestic violence and child abuse that I don’t think was necessary. There were some great twists and turns which made it a fast pace read. I would have liked more of a heads up in the synopsis about the violence.

Unrealistic/unbelievable plot. Unlikable characters. Unrealistic dialogue. I probably only finished it because it moved so quickly and I had to know which of the several obvious, possible twists were going to take place. Turns out, it was all of them in the most rushed-feeling ending I’ve read in recent memory.
