This was a fun read! It was captivating and kept me on the edge of my seat. It gave me similar vibes to Freida McFadden’s books, which I love! It was entertaining trying to guess what was going to happen next and who the villain really was.
This is just personal preference, but some of the spice was just a little too much and would have preferred those parts to be more vague.
Overall a great read and I would read another by this author!

umm okay?? this book had me jaw dropping over and over. it definitely felt reminiscent of “the housemaid” and “verity” but still an interesting concept with catfishing and the online piece. i realize as i’m writing this, it also reminds me of “behind closed doors” which is also a favorite of mine. the storyline of abusive husband, chaotic wife, affairs, and murder may not be that original in 2024, but i was not able to guess the ending or see many of the twists coming which is very important to me. there’s nothing more disappointing than guessing a plot twist and being right. overall, i’m glad i read this because i have been let down by many thrillers lately and this is was just thing to get me excited about the genre again!
*but also why was the bdsm kink just randomly thrown in?? it felt so out of place and random. like why was that the husbands big secret and reason for divorce. what happened to communicating with your partner and not judging each other? was not a fan of that side plot.

I had a feeling I should give this author another try after not really enjoying her debut, and I'm so glad I did! This is that juicy wacky shit I live for. Read this in a day in two sittings. As with my main complaint about Woman on the Edge, parts of this were predictable, but I still loved seeing how everything came together. I love when past and present timelines collide and you're just watching them speed toward each other in a glorious trainwreck. I could have done without the BDSM talk cause that gives me the ick (just personal preference, no shade), but otherwise this was really fun. This does feature a trope I don't usually like in books, but I was too immersed in the story for it to put me off for too long. And honestly this was just too ridiculous to be bothered by anything (that's a compliment).
Super quick, exciting read. You can kinda see where it’s leading, but the end was still a little bit of a shock. I don’t like “open-ended” endings, so is there a sequel coming….??
Decent, though the issue between husband and wife seems unrelated and not really necessisary to the book.

Might be the best thriller I’ve read in a few years. Holy. Shit.
I chose this as one of my Amazon First Reads last month but only just got around to reading it.
This was a great thriller! I enjoyed the storyline and trying to figure out what was going to happen in the end (which I never did guess right!). Overall a really great, twisty read
