Wow. I got this at a thrift store as a part of a 12 for a dollar deal and I am tempted to drive forty miles back to get my 8 cents refunded. This was just wretched. The plot almost entirely consisted of people having meals and stilted conversation. How are there so many books in this series?

Seriously, it's a crime that a tree was cut down for this. (And since the 'plot' was about tree rustling, you'd think they'd be more careful.)

After 24 books, these are very predictable. These books are cute, but the formula never changes. A stranger (non-Moose County person) is involved in some mysterious dealing that Qwill and the cats must investigate. How boring. Here's some advice for the people that loved it -- find a new author, one with imagination.

I wish that the author would find a new formula for her books. But, why bother when this one will end up a New York Times bestseller like all of the rest of her books? I am very glad that I borrowed this book from the library. Don't waste your money on it.

I liked this one, but it was more about Moose County than about the mystery.

George Guidall was, of course, a great narrator.

I find this series to be easy to listen to and my library has a good number of them available as audiobooks. They are light and fluffy, and I doubt I'd ever seek them out. I do enjoy the antics of the cats and some of the supporting cast. This book seemed to have a very thin plot and seemed off compared to the others I've listened to recently.
