I can confidently say I was much more interested in this book than the first in the series. Percy's story felt so much more concrete and like there was a real direction for the series. This one felt less mythologically dense, but I think that was to its benefit. As an adult reader (I listened to the Audible version) I felt much more intrigued and invested in the writing and story this book offered. Also like what if I said I don't ship Percebeth

It was not as good as the 1st one for me. There was a bit too much going on to really get engaged I think but there definitely were some scenes I really liked. I loved the relationship growth between Percy and Annabeth.
