This is a delightful collection of six romantic short stories written about charming, memorable characters. The settings and circumstances of each tale vary greatly, from Yellowstone National Park in "Our Song" to Finland in 1939 in "War of Hearts", but each storyline has a happy ending. This is an uplifting fast-paced read that will leave a smile on your face.

I enjoyed "Our Song" most of all, and it differed from the other stories in that the characters were already in a long term relationship but needed a reminder to appreciate what each of them was bringing to the relationship. Most of the other tales involve an almost formulaic pattern of meet cute and gradual revealing of feelings. Even so, "Between the Lines" is adorable, featuring a romance that unfolds as letters are exchanged between childhood friends! Reading "Firsts and Lasts" inspired me to start planning my own trip to New York City. I'd like to read more from this author!

I am a huge fan of the Timeless Romance Anthologies, so it's no surprise that I loved this! Even though only one of the stories in this collection was new and I had previously read all the others, they were all stories that I loved re-visiting.
The new story, Our Song, was one of my favorites! I loved how realistic it felt and how both Cassie and Matt realized there were things they could each do and give up to strengthen their relationship. I think too often we fall into the trap of thinking that our real relationships should have all the "fireworks" and glamour of what we read in books or see in movies, when it is the underlying strength and bond that is most important. And I loved the Yellowstone setting, too!
The other stories in the collection, which have all previously appeared in other Timeless Romance anthologies, were all wonderful as well. There is a good variety of contemporary and historical settings. While I enjoyed them all, my other favorite is Between the Lines. There's just something about getting to know someone through writing letters!
All in all, this is a collection you can't go wrong with!

Another interesting approach to NYC - leaving after living there and trying to do everything for the first time before you don't get another chance. Cute story of the 2 characters, their chance meeting, their similar situations, and how they fall in love and deal with the firsts and lasts. Also, busking was a different element for me. I know people do it all the time in the city but never knew that's what it was called.

Our Song: I enjoyed this different approach to a love story - where the characters are coming at a proposal from different perspectives. I loved the Yellowstone setting. The dialog - both inner and verbal - was well done. A cute romance story from this author!!

Golden Sunrise: This was a fun reconnecting story with a few surprise twists. I enjoyed the varying viewpoints from both Adam and Natalie and how the ending come together. Fun setting, fun tie-ins from their past to the present.

Firsts and Lasts: Another interesting approach to NYC - leaving after living there and trying to do everything for the first time before you don't get another chance. Cute story of the 2 characters, their chance meeting, their similar situations, and how they fall in love and deal with the firsts and lasts. Also, busking was a different element for me. I know people do it all the time in the city but never knew that's what it was called.

War of Hearts: The love story was predictable, but there's only so much time to develop that in a 6-chapter novella. What I found the most interesting was the history and the setting - Finland during WWII. I did like the characters and would have loved for this to be developed into a longer story, for both the romance aspect so it wasn't quite as quick and predictable and also to learn even more about Finland's role and fight with Russia in WWII.

Between the Lines: This one was a historical short, very cute and fun to see the situation Thomas gets himself into with Jane and how he tries to undo it so he can be with her. Was definitely rooting for those 2 to straighten it out so they could see what was right in front of their eyes. Also loved the inclusion of the play of Peter Pan and the poetry of Elizabeth Barrett Browning and her husband Robert.

A Taste of Home: I really enjoyed and loved this short story. I enjoyed the characters and how their romance bloomed, but I really especially enjoyed the setting of Salt Lake in 1913 and the landmarks that it mentioned, so close to my heart and home!! Plus, it really made my taste buds tingle for some homemade toffee!!
