Wow!This book is leaps and bounds better than the first one. I understand that Mead had to establish her world in most of the first book, so that explains why it seemed to drag. However, this book starts its action immediately and does not stop until the last page. This book really shows off the series potential to become a ya classic.

loved the way this story developed. I read the first in the series a while ago but had no problem getting back into it, although I thought it was going abit slow to start with I couldn't put it down. another vampire series I'm hooked on XD

The thing about the Vampire Academy books is that they’re so entertaining but so predictable.

For example- immediately after Isaiah or whatever his name is told them that someone can be uncuffed to kill one of the guardians, I KNEW Rose would get Christian to free her so they could escape. I KNEW it, and was still entertained. I also guessed that Adrien had spirit and that Mason would die. But here I am, giving it a four star review anyways.

(Yes I know that me bragging about guessing the plot twists is really unnecessary and cocky and sounds really fake, but I just wanted to put that out there.)

This had a faster pace then the first now that we know a little more about the characters. It was a pretty good read. So far I recommend this series for anyone that is liking the YA paranormal books.

I thought this book was great. The character that dies at the end is heartbreaking, and the action/kidnapping scenes at the end are well-written. The entire book was able to keep my attention and I was enthralled to the point where, even though this is a time re-reading it (my first time reading being in high school) that I felt compelled to stay up late and finish it, like I used to during my childhood. I love the character development of the side characters and not just the main characters, and I'm excited to (re)read the 3rd book.

Just as the first book, Frostbite didn't disappoint me.
