Wow! This was a very powerful and moving story about the life of Nisha, a sri-lankan domestic worker living many miles away from home.

The story is told in multiple POV'S as we follow the journey to uncover the mysterious disappearance of not only Nisha but other domestic workers.

The writing just so beautiful, almost poetic. The descriptions throughout are so intricate, that not only was it an absolute delight to read but I felt like I was almost a fly on the wall and seeing it with my own eyes.

I highly appreciated the light shone on such a vulnerable group of women who are mostly taken for granted, abused and ignored because of their class. I definitely feel like I've a whole new insight now.

It was amazing yet so heartbreaking to read and I think the book will stay with me for a long time to come. I am eager to see what the author writes next.

A beautiful and confronting novel that dragged just a bit.
