At first I wasn't a fan of the play because I found the pace too inconsistent. However, by the end, everything was wrapped up neatly. I enjoyed the characters and darker plot points that underpin the play

This Shakespeare was unknown to me when I first listened to it through Play On Podcast. Entertaining, but also in places a little difficult. The section where where they keep trying to sell off Marina dragged on for a bit too long in my opinion; it got to the point where I felt it was just reparative and unnecessary. I kept waiting for something about the first act’s king and daughter to come back around and it didn’t, so that also felt unusually. It was like I was waiting for something else to hit and it never did (which is fine - you don’t exactly want incest to come back around.
Graphic: Pregnancy and Trafficking
Moderate: Incest
