Fantastic novella. Fated mates aren't my thing, but I can understand the utility of it in a short story.

This had, by far, my favorite shifter lore I've ever encountered. A rich world is built up quickly and expertly.

Take those content warnings seriously tho.

Tamara Jeree puts so much care and warmth in her writing and it feels like a warm hug.

Reading about a black lesbian couple that cares about each other so much had me tearing up a little and I love Yasmin and Kalta and need more of them.

And I’m going to be honest guys, I ended up tearing up by the end of this novella. There’s just something about how it’s written that had me almost crying. I can’t wait ti dive into The Fall that Saved Us
