I haven't read a Grisham book in years but this sounded good. plus not being able to go to the library has been going through what books I have on my nook.

anyway, I enjoyed this. it moved quickly and kept my attention.

Another 4.5er. Was good, but not enough to rate 5 stars. Was my first grisham book. I liked the upfront way the story was told... it wasn’t embellished with a bunch of unimportant details. However, I felt like the book took a bit to get going. I also felt like the middle part was fantastic but the book could have ended sooner. Was expecting the book to get me out of a reading slump, but it definitely didn’t.
Anyways, it was good. Just not good enough to be 5 stars :)

I finally read this out of curiosity, and after giving it a fair shot, I still don't know what people see in Grisham's books. The writing is incredibly melodramatic and boring, and I also found the protagonist rather unpleasant. Amusingly, though, I'm almost certain making an unlikeable protagonist wasn't the intent of Grisham.

The Guardians is an excellent book. Definitely a "Legal Thriller" - emphasis on the legal. I work in the legal field so it was enjoyable for me to read. A dense book with multiple story lines or almost story lines are introduced. I recommend this book for readers who want a true legal thriller complete with hearings, briefs, trials, and detailed evidence proceedings!

This book is based on an inspiring true story and it's worth reading for that reason. There are some colorful characters and suspenseful moments, but it was slow moving compared to Graham's best novels.

This might be the first Grisham book that I cried reading....I was so touched by the lives of these men that were wrongfully convicted and years spent in prison. I truly enjoyed the mystery and the cadence of the story. While Grisham has veered off his thrillers I loved from the early 90’s, I found this one to be one of my favorites of the last decade.

I haven't read a John Grisham novel since the 90's, but saw him speak in Savannah with a lot of passion for this novel so I had to give it a spin. It is based on real life stories of people who have served jail time for crimes they did not commit. It started a slow but then it had the Grisham pacing I remembered in the second half. 3.5 stars

This book is very wordy and i found it hard to keep the characters straight. also very stereotypical characters, plot, etcs for this type of book. has a good ending though.

Been of a bit of a Grisham kick lately after not picking up his books for some time. This one was compelling and I appreciated some of the theological themes such as forgiveness.

Solid Grishom

I’ve read John Grishom. I knew what to expect and wasn’t let down. Solid, readable legal mystery/thriller. Wasn’t a bad way to spend the day. Not his very best, not his worst.
