This is a brilliant if frustrating book. The whole point is that you don’t have the right to know someone’s story- however, everyone has a right to be treated as a person with thought, and dreams, and imagination beyond what you assume from what someone looks like on the outside.

Love the note in the back for adults of curious kids.

A sweet story about a child with a limb difference wanting, as any child does, to be seen as they are and left to enjoy their games. I wish the "upstander" moment, for lack of a better term, had been a little stronger, but regardless this was short, sweet, and to the point.

So well done! The illustrations are a bit whimsical, even with a tough subject matter. A good book for children and adults. I do wonder if it really is the first book to deal with children and disabilities in this way.
