Oh. My. God. This book is amazing. Marie is basically a god ok. I understand EVERYTHING NOW. Amazing. Read this you won't regret it, it's amazing

Update:
After many years it’s still good. I’m very impressed that Lu was able to keep the plot going in a direction that was enticing. Tugged at my heart strings a bit for sure and remains fairly unique from other books I’ve read in this genre.

Superb ending to a superb series. This took me a little longer to get into, but once I picked up I couldn't put it down. Marie Lu has yet to disappoint me.

Let's say that this broke me like no other has ever done. The thing that broke me the most was probably the sisterly love between Adelina and Violetta. Also the unconditional love between her and Magiano. That was a much better pair than Enzo. Enzo only loved her because she reminded him of his first love, whereas Magiano loved her for her, her dark her and happy her. Amazing!

Somehow, this book was even worse than the first two which is really a difficult feat. At this point, I knew it was one last book and I was holding onto hope that it would finally resolve something and make my suffering worth it. The whole time, it makes it seem like Adalina will learn to not do the 'evil bad murder' because the universe does not want her to. The whole time, it tries to make the importance of morals and the book tries to get the reader to understand that there is a right path to be chosen. Only, this book doesn't do that, essentially punishing a childhood abuse survivor for her reactions to her trauma, and kills her off at the end to make it all the much better.
