I will say that I was aware that this story would delve into deeper more triggering topics in advance, but the way that Helen Hoang wrote them was really well done. The mental struggles weren’t romanticized and the way the characters deal with them was realistic. In terms of the romance, I absolutely adored it! Quan and Anna are perfect for each other! I hope this author writes more books!

i don't know what i really expected going into this book; obviously i knew it would be something i loved, something concrete and beautiful.. but god, i did not expect it to have such a strong hold on my heart. i think i teared up at the ending, and probably multiple times before too, and i don't know what else to say except i really, really love this book more than i ever imagined i would. quananna are everything to me, my favourite people.

3.5 stars. I'm still pondering. Also, thus book is very much rated M for mature. Just want to make sure to say that.

I really loved this book, just as I have loved all of Helen Hoang’s novels! Hope the series continues, or to read more books of hers in the future!

I picked up this book for some lighthearted romance and got so much more than I bargained for. I was nervously pacing my appartment, jumping and yelling at my phone while listening to this. The story goes into so many sensitive issues like toxic family dynamics, emotional recovery from cancer, what it means to be a woman with autism, masking and recovering from autistic burnout. It’s just beautyful. I loved it. Five stars.
