I was honestly very determined to not give this trilogy another chance, but my "fomo" would not allow me and I'm very gals! It was definitely the best book e, even tho it looks like and easy to read romance, that not exactly how it goes. Family drama and weird dynamicsare very notorious and they make the reader hurt, a LOT. The romance is not the main focus of the book but it is has an important role in Anna's mental health and stability, which is portrayedin a realistic without being too heavy. Once more, the main character is autistic and the diagnosis arises in a very difficult period of her life, in which everything changes. I really enjoyed the book, being one of my favourite romance reads of this year. It's a great recommendation for anyone looking for a different romance and it's good that the trilogy does not have a strong bond in between books, making it possible to read this one without reading the previous ones.

It's Quan time to shine now. He was shining through the beginning and the middle of the story, but near the end, it was focusing on Anna's story. I am not complaining but little bit disappointed with the ending, I think the ending could be better if it stretch more to other aspects or perspective like their relationship or Quan's side of stories. They not even met Quan's family yet and I already expected it from the beginning of the book.
Otherwise, the story was beautiful. Maybe I don't understand fully the struggle of Anna and her life, but I felt hurt too when I read how she was struggling. I hated her sister on her behalf.

This book made me want to cry happy and sad tears so many times. I found so many of her struggles and growths so relatable and it is now so close to my heart.

Also, everyone needs a Quan.

I read this in less than a day... The first book in this series of standalones by this author is one I think about almost every day since reading it. I was surprised to see those MCs as side characters in this and loved it. This book had me laughing, and cringing, and tearing up... it broke my heart and slowly put it back together again in imperfectly perfect little pieces. I loved the autistic representation and the internal fight the FMC had throughout this, how supportive her "one night stand" was, and the struggles they both went through with mental and physical issues they fought every single day. I don't often read authors notes, but I feel like the note at the end is just as important as the story that came before it. The fact that the author pulled a lot of the material for this one from her own personal experiences really shows in the care and heartbreak of this book. I think the only closure that was maybe lacking in the end was the sister... bitch never did apologize, at least on page, I like to think that eventually she would have come around.

🌶️ 4/5 The spice in this was raw, caring and intentional. The chemistry with the MCs was really good how they worked through their intimacy issues and found ways to open up to each other that was unique to their own comfort levels. That bj scene early on had me cackling so hard, her original BF is the fucking worst.
