The audiobook narrator made some...choices while voicing certain scenes and they were not the right choices, especially the description conflicting with what the voice was supposed to be. Ie "husky honey" should not be a high pitched whine.

The reunification scene almost made this book worth it and then it just fell flat. That is the only redeeming quality to boost it a quarter rating.

I'm begging millennial authors to learn how to write how people actually speak. None of this whiny "I'm a baby" talk that they give younger adult characters. The sister is a professional fighter but still talks like a child who steals her older sisters food? Make it make sense.

If you're looking for a book with drawn out plot and some decently written conflict scenes, then this is for you. But if dialogue matters to you, I recommend you skip this one.

I couldn't really connect to this story and the characters. It could be that I'm just not in the romance mood, but idk. Maybe I will pick it back up at another time but for now I will DNF this book.

Very cute story about a recently out bisexual woman with a nosy and ostentatious best friend finding the love of her life although neither of them really realize it. it’s a beautiful story about how sexuality plays into politics and the complexities of being in politics as a lesbian as well as the complexities of discovering your sexuality later in life
