Als ik dit boek in één woord zou moeten omschrijven dan zou dat woord ‘whimsical’ zijn. Het was zo cute!

Het begin van het boek vond ik echt mega leuk, het einde vond ik tof, maar het midden was voor mij helaas wat traag waardoor ik wat verveeld raakte.

Alsnog zeker van genoten, en als je op zoek bent naar een slow (maar dan ook echt slooooow) burn queer romance: this is it.

I liked this book a lot! I enjoyed the narration and I thought the pacing was good. I like the growing bond between our two main characters and learning about them as individuals. Not sure how I feel about the end. I was really hoping they'd decide to

work with Sybilla or work in Dwull

. I loved Sybilla! I really liked the magic system. It reminded me of Witch Hat Atelier. Though there were times I wish the author told us the words to a spell or described more about how the spellsong sounded and felt like. I really liked the monsters! I look forward to the next book!
